Senior Occupational Therapist
Brodie has been working as an Occupational Therapist for 5 years in ACT and QLD following her graduation from the University of the Sunshine Coast. She worked for 2 years in Occupational Rehabilitation assisting people to return to work safely. She returned to the Gold Coast where she has worked for 3 years in multiple Acute and Rehabilitation wards and Community teams for the Gold Coast Health and Hospital Services.
Brodie has a strong passion for community work, as she recognises that people thrive in their own environments and therapy interventions can be more client centre when conducted in the person's own environments. She has particular interest in working with people to manage their chronic pain, physical and cognitive rehabilitation with people with neurological conditions; and paediatrics. Her therapy is creative and individualised and has a strong focus on occupational engagement and daily routine to improve quality of life.
