Mathilda De Jager
Senior Occupational Therapist-Paediatrics
Mathilda completed my Bachelors in Occupational Therapy from the University of the Free State, South Africa in 2012. She has worked as a paediatric occupational therapist for the past nine years in a private practice as well as in a community setting working with clients that have a vast range of different abilities.
Mathilda is an energetic, loving therapist and particularly love teaching my paediatric clients through play. She enjoys
using a range of therapy strategies to address each clients needs such as sensory processing and DIR Floortime strategies. She enjoys working with all paediatric clients, but have a special interest in helping children prepare for school readiness. Although she is a firm believer of early intervention, assisting paediatric clients of all ages to the best of her ability is her passion.
Mathilda truly believes in the words of the playwriter George Bernard Shaw: “We don’t stop playing because we grow old...We grow old, because we stop playing”.
