Psychologists provide a wide range of therapeutic interventions to assist to positively managing the impact of disability. We will work with you and your families with a range of psychological and behavioural issues, and help you develop therapeutic strategies to deal with these difficulties. Our GRS psychologists provide assessments and interventions for people with intellectual disabilities and mental health issues of all ages. 


Our GRS psychologist can assist in the following areas:

  • Helping with moods and behavioural difficulties, such as depression or anxiety, or other challenging behavioural issues in the home, school or work environment

  • Improving coping skills

  • Assisting with the transition to school and life stages

  • Enhancing social skills

  • Improving relationships with family members

  • Developing strategy for family and support services to manage challengaing behaviours

 

Our GRS Psychologists work with participants and their support systems across the lifespan. We can offer appointments in our clinics or via telehealth, with community appointments available in some locations.

•    Adaptive Functioning Assessments identifying the impact of disability
•    Diagnostic Assessment using the DSM V

  • Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2)

•    Emotional and Behavioural Assessments

  • Behaviour Assessment System for Children, 3rd Edition (BASC-3)

  • Vineland Adaptive Behaviour Scales, 3rd Edition (VABS-3)

  • Adaptive Behaviour Assessment System, 3rd Edition (ABAS-3)
